Mr Khan exuded confidence and professionalism. He explained procedures and expectations which went a long way to allay our fears of the unknown. During consultation with myself and my parents Mr Khan’s positive articulation of coming events always left you feeling confident of the future. Also he has the knack of making you feel that you are his only patient.
I am finding it difficult to suggest any improvement.
He is also a dapper dresser which always impresses.
I have a very hectic personal life I care for a disabled teenager, and was extremely nervous about spinal surgery. I was due to have a micro discectomy as a day case but sadly suffered a complication. However This had all been explained to me pre op and for all I wasn’t happy I was to stay in Hospital I understood the importance. Mr Khan came to check on me daily despite it being the weekend and he always had a smile and a reassuring word for me despite the fact I was extremely grumpy and asked to go home every time I saw him. I initially saw mr Khan on a wed and I was having my operation by the Friday I can’t fault him. I’ve had a few further complications post op but they are mainly all resolved. My recovery took longer than expected but I think that was more to do with having an infection in my wound post op etc. I’m hoping to get back to work as a nurse in the next few months.
Very very helpful and reassuring in the days before the operation, explaining everything. So I knew what to expect, what the risks might be. I knew just what was going to happen and although it was ‘major brain surgery’ I wasn’t at all apprehensive. The operation went brilliantly. In the five days after the operation he came to see me virtually every day and explained what had happened (all good!).
I feel very grateful to have been treated by Mr Khan.
I felt very comfortable with doctor he explained me thoroughly about my surgery it was friendly atmosphere. Doctor and his team made me relaxed and welcome through out my trip at the Hospital.
Mr Khan is very professional, patient and approachable; he has a very nice bedside manner taking time to listen to myself and my husband. He explained to us about the surgery, about the complications and risks that can occur. At all times I was made to feel confident about the results of my surgery. Can’t thank him enough for being so kind, helpful and professional during my stay in hospital and at the follow-up appointment.
Mr Khan made me feel at ease in the lead up to my surgery, answering any questions (however silly!) I had whist still explaining any risks etc. There was a bit if a mix up between him and one of my other consultants which resulted in my original surgery date being postponed which was difficult at the time but this was later resolved. My surgery was very successful and I don’t think Mr Khan could have done a better job. I am very pleased with the outcome.
Mr Khan comes across as quite a laid back character and I think this can help put his patients more at ease.
I would have liked to have been kept more up to date in the lead up to my surgery (confirming a date for it) as I did have to phone his secretary a number of times but she couldn’t really tell me anything. It’s an anxious time waiting for a date for your surgery and it would have been nice to have been kept more informed where possible, instead of being given a weeks notice. But overall a great surgeon.
Mr Khan is a good listener, approachable and very professional. His approach and manner before my surgery was very reassuring and made me feel more at ease. The complicated pituitary surgery appears to have been a success and I am pleased with outcome. Mr Khan kept me fully informed throughout the hospital recovery period and even came to see me on his day off to make sure that I was fine. Post surgery consultations with Mr Khan have been very helpful and I feel he has went the extra mile to take my personal and employment circumstances into account in respect of follow- up treatment. Delighted with his care and attention.
He gives time to listen; he explains fully and patiently the procedures involved. He evinces a personal interest in me as an individual. He is cautious and not “gung ho” in his approach to surgery! I felt safe in hands as he instilled confidence. As far as I could tell his skill was of the highest quality
Mr Khan was my surgeon who done my Endoscope surgery for acromegaly.
Mr Khan provided me with all the information I needed so that I understood what the surgery entailed. He made me feel safe and his confidence made me confident that this surgery would be a success.
Mr Khan is truly a kind, understanding and talented individual and he gave me my life back. I can’t put into words how grateful I am and how lucky I am to have Mr Khan as my surgeon.
Mr Khan thank you so much.
I had major surgery to remove a very large brain tumour. Mr Khan performed the intricate operation spending 12+ hours in surgery and explained what was happening both before and after to my family. His post surgery care has also been exemplary.. I cannot thank him enough.
